I became a hypnotherapist more than fifty-years ago. At that time you could count the known hypnotists on your ten fingers. Today there are thousands involved in its practice. I doubt that there are very many hypnotists still living that can claim fifty-years in this business. Even among the professionals there are many different opinions about reincarnation, good and evil spirits, religion, the nature of God, and the approach to the process of hypnotherapy.
I have come to believe that the mind of every life form is a history book of information about its existence, and is trying to improve itself with every new beginning.
I think I have more than proven that all of our physical, emotional, and spiritual deficiencies are the result of negative emotions. I reported forty, out of thousands, of such cases in my book, (The Inner Mind Revisited.) I also believe that I have shown that human nature has a spiritual awareness (Experience) that has no connection to any religious affiliation other than what was a part of its creation. I have shown that persons who are living the lifestyle of an atheist or agnostic and other non-religious expressions have this same spiritual awareness on the subconscious level.
I am reminded of the statement by one of my subjects, (Rebecca) when asked, "What is the true religion? And she answered, "I can't tell you that, it is something you will have to learn for yourself. I will tell you this. It is exactly like it was in the beginning, it has never changed." The subject who was regressed back to the year 3000 BC, When he was asked if he believed in God he said. "God is the system. It is better to be in the system than out of it."
In hypnotherapy, whether a person, or the hypnotist, believes the origin of a problem lies in a past life experience, or the subject has created a metaphor to satisfy a positive change, doesn't really matter as long as it resolves the problem. However, I believe that when one chooses a metaphor over reality it suggests that the hypnotist doesn't really believe in reincarnation.
We never know for sure the results of any hypnotic session until we try because of the individual's choice to reveal what their mind has experienced. We can determine the origin and cause of any deficiency and resolve many of the problems in just minutes. We can open the door to their spiritual awareness and access the recorded information of both these subjects only as much as the individual allows, or what we are privileged to receive.
Perhaps after all these years we have been giving the wrong suggestions, or asking the wrong questions. What if we spent more time learning the origin and purpose of our being in this physical world? How far back can we trace human existence, and how far can we explore the universe and the future from this source of the human mind? Where and how do we find those persons who will allow this kind of investigation? I believe that every human being is special, and has something to share with others to help make this physical journey easier. I believe we have only begun to explore the depth of the human mind with this science we call hypnotism.
